Sources from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) have confirmed that several site allotments in Dattagalli, Mysuru, were canceled after an order from the Urban Development Department on November 30, 2024. The cancellation was due to alleged violations of allotment rules, although the specific infractions were not disclosed.
These sites were not part of the controversial 50:50 scheme, which is currently under investigation by both the Lokayukta and the Enforcement Directorate. The scheme gained attention after it was revealed that Parvathi B M, the wife of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, had benefited from the allotment of 14 MUDA sites in an upscale area of Mysuru.
Following this revelation, the Lokayukta police filed an FIR against Siddaramaiah, Parvathi, her brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, and others involved in the allotment. Parvathi, in response, requested MUDA to cancel the site allotments.
