Mysore Corpn vacates illegal cellars on footpaths

Mysore :The Mysore City Corporation on Monday July 28 launched an operation against commercial buildings  which have encroached footpaths to  construct cellars in various parts of the city. The raiding team was led by Satyamurthi, Assistant Commissioner of MCC Zone 1.

The unauthorised cellars of Sendilkumar Textiles on Sayyaji Rao Road, State Bank of Mysore Branch, Vidyaranya Hospital, Vijaya Bank in front of Lakshmipuram police station, Vasan Eye Care on JLB Road. Nethradhama and other constructions were vacated. Some owners were given two day deadline to vacate the encroachment at Nanjumalige, Agrahara, Siddappa Circle and other places.

The officials also warned of stern action against those failing to adhere to the directive. Devaraj, Development Officer, Mahesh and others were part of the operation.
