Mysuru: Banning Bajrang Dal is a very bizarre idea, and according to some people who believe that God will punish wrongdoers, the same situation would happen to Congress, said Former Union Minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda. He said that people will teach a good lesson if the organisation is banned.

Addressing a media conference at the BJP media office, he said that the BJP Government would come to power with an absolute majority by winning more than 130 seats in this election. All the leaders are trying their best to form the Government with a full majority, following the path of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP is committed to conducting this election in the hope of democratic values, and will form the Government without anyone’s participation. Gowda said that the party had woven election strategies to win 120 to 130 seats.

Congress has ruled this country and state for 60 years, while JD (S) ruled for 10 years, and BJP has been in power for 9 years. These three parties have made many promises to the people. It is time to put the report card in front of the people and evaluate how much has been accomplished. Let the people decide which Government they want. By doing so, we can give a new direction to the election, he noted.

He also urged Congress and JD (S) to adhere to this democratic approach. Gowda accused Congress of misusing politics and said that Rajiv Gandhi, the Prime Minister of that party, had admitted that 85% of the corruption was done by Congress Government. However, the Congress is simply accusing the BJP Government of being a 40% commission corruption Government without providing any documentation, and people are not ready to believe these allegations, he said.

It will be a significant achievement for BJP to defeat Siddaramaiah in his hometown. Siddaramaiah, who presented 13 budgets and according to him this is his last election and by defeating him in this election, BJP is going to see that this is his last election, he asserted.

He also accused his opponents of desperation, hooliganism, and slander.

MLA G. T. Deve Gowda is not considered trustworthy by the people, according to Gowda. He was in BJP before switching to Congress. He further explained that Deve Gowda left his position as Chairman of the Housing Board after expressing opposition to Siddaramaiah, and attempted to return to BJP after he and his son were not guaranteed tickets, he said and warned Deve Gowda not to come near the party again.

Gowda predicted that BJP would win 6 to 7 seats out of 11 constituencies in Mysuru district and 4 city seats. The BJP vote has accumulated in Chamundeshwari Constituency over the past four years of BJP Government rule, and I expect JD (S) vote to be divided, he said and dismissed Congress candidate would give fight to BJP in K. R. Constituency.

Constituency candidate T. S. Srivatsa, Narasimharaja Constituency candidate Sandesh Swamy, and others were present.
