Deputy Commissioner G Lakshmikanth Reddy has directed Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) officials to expedite the clearance of pending e-khata applications across zonal offices and submit a detailed status report. He emphasized that delays without valid reasons would not be tolerated.

The instruction came during a review meeting on civic and infrastructure issues in the Krishnaraja (KR) assembly constituency, chaired at the DC’s office. KR MLA T.S. Srivatsa raised serious concerns about e-khata delays, citing recent Lokayukta raids on zonal offices as a consequence of inefficiencies.

Officials responded with updates: Zone 1 reported zero pending files, Zone 2 cited around 200 pending cases due to portal issues, and Zone 9 had 150 applications expected to be resolved in two to three days.

On infrastructure, the MLA demanded urgent completion of long-stalled roadworks at Vijaya Bank Circle, Vivekananda Circle, and Siddaganga Seer Circle along Vishwa Manava Double Road. The DC acknowledged delays, especially at Siddaganga Seer Circle due to concerns about a statue’s visibility, and instructed consultation with local leaders before resuming work.

Srivatsa also flagged water shortages in Ittigegudu, Narayanshastri Road, BEML Layout, Srirampura, and Mahendra Layout. In response, VVWW executive engineer Ashwin said trial supply from the Kabini River was underway, with redistribution expected in 2–3 days. The DC assured that 15 MLD out of 30 MLD additional Kabini water would be allocated to KR Constituency.

MDA Commissioner KR Rakshith said of ₹9.5 crore allocated for local works, three projects are done and one is progressing
