Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Shivakumar has said that it is the duty of everyone to live in accordance with the changing times and rules of the world.

He was speaking after inaugurating an awareness campaign called ‘Mookaspandana’ by installing water tanks and food bowls for animals and birds and providing free water tanks by responsible animals and bird lovers in the wake of the scorching heat and in association with KMPK Trust, eco-friendly team and Jeevadhara Blood Fund Centre by pouring water into a water tank in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple in the City. “Animals and birds have as much opportunity to live on Earth as human beings. We have to come forward to feed the animals and birds living with us in and around our locality due to the scorching heat,” he said adding that if water is fed in front of the house on the roof of our houses as much as possible, it will save the lives of innocent animals, said Shivakumar .

Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Former President H. V. Rajeev, said that many years ago, a stone water tank was constructed in front of the houses of Mysuru for the drinking water of cows, calves and such other animals and birds. But it is regrettable that all of them have disappeared these days, he said.
