Mysuru: Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday May 2 campaigned in Varuna, a high-voltage Constituency in the State. He sought votes in favour of Somanna.

Addressing a massive election rally near Hosakote Village under Varuna Assembly Constituency, Amit Shah said, “Give Somanna victory in Varuna, we will make him a big man.”

“A vote given to Somanna and Revanna will keep Karnataka safe. Narendra Modi is doing the job of keeping Karnataka prosperous and safe,” he said.

Attacking the Congress and Siddaramaiah, Amit Shah said, “If the Congress and Siddaramaiah wins, he will withdraw the PFI ban. “In the last five years, Siddaramaiah has done nothing but corruption.”

Karnataka has been turned into ATMs by the central leaders of the Congress party and the Government of their time is the most corrupt Government in the country, he alleged.

“Siddaramaiah says the Lingayat community has brought corruption. Yediyurappa continued with Bommai projects. Siddaramaiah’s statement is an insult to the entire Lingayat community, he said and added that the Congress had insulted the Lingayat community by removing Nijalingappa and Veerendra Patil.
