Mysuru: The All India Women’s Cultural Organisation (AIMSS) staged a protest against atrocities on women.
The organisation, which protested at Chikkagadiyara Circle in the City on Friday November 25, alleged that murder for dowry, honour killings, acid attacks, and mass rape has increased Thus, from the embryonic stage to the onset of menstruation, a woman is subjected to many kinds of disrespect and cruelty. Women of all ages, right from infants, are being raped and abused,” they said.

“As per the 2022 report, the sex ratio in the State is declining. According to the National Family Health Survey, Karnataka tops the list of domestic violence cases. The continuing brutal attacks on women is due to the male-dominated attitude. At the same time, perverted sex is also growing due to pornography, the spread of cruelty and the menace of alcohol and drugs, and is also taking on a criminal dimension,” they alleged.

At the same time, the planned sukti and photo exhibition was flagged off by Shanta, a member of the State Secretariat of AIIMSS. AIIMSS District Secretary G. S. Seema, Leaders Nalina, Abhilasha, Puttaraju and Basavaraju were present.
