Mysuru Warriors lends helping hand to its Cause Partners, donate sum of 3,00,000 INR

Mysuru: Mysuru Warriors, the KPL team owned by NR Group, the maker of Cycle Pure Agarbathies, handed over cheque of 1, 00,000 INR to all the 3 cause partners as part of its commitment towards social cause at Pathrakarthara Bhavan today.

Mysuru Warriors after an explosive performance in the 5th edition of the league garnered the ‘Fair Play Trophy’ of the season. Captained by the talented Manish Pandey, the electrifying game played by the team made Mysuru Warriors the only team with seven consecutive wins in the tournament.

As part of the association Mysuru Warriors had announced to contribute towards the social empowerment causes Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe, Kalisu Foundation and Usha Kiran Eye Hospital that they are ardently working with. The support to Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe, Kalisu Foundation and Usha Kiran Eye Hospital witnessed Mysuru Warriors contributing Rs. 1000 for every 4s and 6s the team scores and every wicket the team has taken.

Rs. 2,05,000/- is the total sum collected from 4s and 6s scored and wickets taken by Mysuru Warriors. Cycle Pure Agarbathies, powered by sponsors has decided to contribute an added Rs. 95,000/- towards the social empowerment. Guru, Chairman, NR Group handed over Rs. 1,00,000/- cheque to all the 3 cause partners. Balachandar, Convenor, KSCA, Mysuru Zone, Mysuru graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.

Commenting on the initiative R. Guru, Chairman, NR Group said, “We at Cycle Pure Agarbathies have always been involved in pro-social activities. In fact, a significant part of our gains have been spent on socially relevant causes. We are happy to be in a position where we can take initiatives for the betterment of the society. Out of all the things that can take our society forward, health and education are undoubtedly the most important. We are glad to be a catalyst in bringing about a change in the lives of the children and thereby build a strong future for our country,” added R. Guru.

Usha Kiran Eye Hospital will be using the amount to treat birth disabilities like squint eyes in children. Whereas, Deutsche Cleft NGO will be using the amount for the corrective surgery of children with cleft lip and palate, and Kalisu Foundation who have been instrumental in building library infrastructure around Karnataka, will invest the amount in building a science library in the region.

A believer of sustainable and holistic growth, NR Group has initiated many activities to contribute for the betterment of the society. This passion to give back to the society has resulted in NR Group initiating an array of activities to help and support the underprivileged section of the society. The company also works extensively towards preserving and promoting the cultural heritage, traditions.

Mysuru Warriors Team entered KPL in 2014 and emerged champions in the same season.Two star players from Mysore Warriors entered IPL in 2014 and the legacy continues. Most of the players selected by Mysuru Warriors have carved a niche for themselves in the Indian cricketing arena especially, the captain Manish Pandey, who is a part of India team. The team’s anthem is composed and sung by popular music director Raghu Dixit. The strong sponsorship enjoyed by Mysuru Warriors during the last season is a testimony of the recognition the team has garnered. It succeeded in bringing together like minded people towards supporting the novel cause of encouraging sports in India. Mysuru Warriors aim is to give an opportunity to young cricketers to experience professional cricket under lights and in the high pressure T-20 format.
