Mysuru: The Bar Association members in Mandya staged a huge protest in the City on Friday condemning the brutal attack by Punjalakatte Police Sub Inspector in Dakshina Kannada District on an advocate, recently.
The advocates assembled at Sanjay Circle in Mandya and formed a human chain that blocked the Bangalore – Mysore Highway and shouted slogans against the Police Department.
District Bar Association President Rajendra who spoke on this occasion said that there are no charges against the lawyer, there is no case, and a case of theft has been registered against the advocate at Punjalakatte. He has also been arrested. The Police also assaulted the lawyer indiscriminately. They have condemned the abuse of the lawyer by the police.
