Arun Yogiraj, the sculptor of the Ram Lalla idol, announced he would be welcoming Prime Minister Modi in Mysore on Sunday, where the Prime Minister is scheduled to speak at a public gathering. The event is set to take place at the Mysuru Maharaja’s Ground.

During a conversation with ANI, Yogiraj expressed his anticipation for the visit, stating, “I am eager to meet Prime Minister Modi tomorrow in Mysore.”

The public meeting on April 14 will see the participation of party members from the Mysuru-Kodagu, Mandya, and Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha constituencies. Yogiraj shared his excitement about the opportunity to discuss his experiences, “I’ve yet to receive any formal invites or appointments, but we look forward to meeting the Prime Minister and discussing our incredible journey.”

Regarding his views on the local candidate, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections, Yogiraj commented, “Mysuru owes its beauty to the royal family. Their contributions have been significant, and there’s a strong emotional bond with them among the locals, including myself. It’s crucial to vote wisely for our representative.”

Yogiraj also praised Yaduveer, noting his environmental concerns and engagement with the community. “Having met Yaduveer ji several times, I can say he’s deeply committed to preserving nature and understanding Mysore’s rich history. Over the last nine years, he has been very proactive in the community. His sensitivity and awareness of cultural and historical matters have been evident.”

Yaduveer Krishnadatta Wadiyar, titled the ‘Maharaja of Mysore’, has been anointed as the head of the erstwhile royal family of Mysuru and will be contesting the elections from the Mysore Lok Sabha segment for the BJP, succeeding the current MP, Pratap Simha.

Yogiraj also disclosed plans for a family trip to Ayodhya on April 15. “Since my last visit to Ayodhya on January 22, I haven’t returned, but this time I’m taking my family there for Ram Navami to celebrate with Ram Lalla,” he said.

He recounted interactions with many devotees in Ayodhya, who shared their deep devotion and stories related to Ram Lalla. “The attention to detail in the idol, especially the eyes, has touched many. When asked about this, I humbly respond that it was not merely my work but a divine influence,” Yogiraj explained.
