Chamarajanagar: Three masons from Bandalli village narrowly escaped a lightning strike as they were heading back home from work at a farm in Chinchalli village. They took shelter under a tree near Chinchalli Government High School during a rainstorm.

The incident transpired at around 6 pm the previous day as they were on their way home from work. With rain pouring down, the three individuals from Bandalli village sought refuge under a tree, where they were unexpectedly struck by lightning but fortunately suffered no injuries.

Guru (33), Manju (33), and Guruswamy (44) from Bandalli village were promptly transported to Kamagere Holy Cross Hospital in a private vehicle by local residents due to the unavailability of an ambulance for immediate medical attention.

Dr. Bhargavi, a physician at The Holy Cross Hospital, who provided medical care, noted that one person sustained injuries to their toes, while the other two experienced shock. She added that the injuries were not severe, and the patients would be observed for a day before being discharged.
