Mysuru: A man has been arrested on the charges of a bid to sexually assault a minor girl in Hunsur near here.
The accused, identified as Kala Nayaka, is a native of Hosapura.
The girl was playing outside near a school when the accused lured her with chocolate. He allegedly took the girl behind a building in an attempt to outrage her modesty. However, she raised an alarm, drawing the attention of passersby.
People rushed to the spot and caught hold of the accused and handed him over to the police. Hunsur Rural Police registered a case and are investigating.
