Mysuru: A 12-year-old boy allegedly kidnapped from BEML layout in Srirampura on the evening of Thursday June 23 is learnt to have been rescued in the midnight hours.
The boy’s parents are doctors working in a prestigious hospital in the City. It is alleged that the boy was cycling near his house when a few unidentified people kidnapped him in a blue car at around 8.00 pm on Thursday.
Later at midnight 2.00 am, the boy it is learnt was left in front of his house by kidnappers themselves. The boy told reporters that kidnappers were speaking in Kannada, and gave him biscuits, chocolates and water. He said kidnappers threatened that they would murder him if he revealed anything to parents. He said the kidnappers spoke among themselves that there was no diesel in the car which has to run just 5 to 6 kilometers. Later they dropped the boy at his residence.
Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta who visited the boy’s house has collected the details. Kuvempunagara Police has registered a case and is investigating.
