Mysuru: Pro-Kannada activist and Former MLA Vatal Nagaraj has staged protest on Friday February 11 against Union Government’s river-linking project at Chamaraja Wodeyar Circle in the City.
He said that the recent announcement of the Pennar-Cauvery river linkage by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman cannot be entirely accepted. Nagaraj questioned, “Who did the Centre consult before including this in the Budget. It is not right for the Government to do as they wish. The Union Government is viewing the State Government as slaves by neglecting their opinions. Pennar-Cauvery river linkage project was announced without consulting the State Government.”
At the same time, Nagaraj also urged the Government to investigate the culprits behind the ongoing Hijab row in the State.
