Mysuru: Villagers of Kumbarahalli to boycott poll

Mysuru: In Kumbarahalli Village of Nanjanagudu Taluk the villagers have decided to boycott the polls. The people of the Nayaka community have installed flexes in front of the village saying that they will boycott the polls as they have not been given a plot to build the spirit of Maharshi Valmiki.

In Opposition to the Nanjanagudu Taluk Administration and Gram Panchayat officials who are disturbing the construction of Shri Maharshi Valmiki Bhavan in the Village of Kumbarahalli under the jurisdiction of Nanjanagudu Assembly Constituency, they said. The leaders of the community met to boycott the voting in the Karnataka Assembly General Election to be held on May 10.

The villagers said that they have decided to continue the struggle.
