Mysuru: The villagers of Chikkabeechanalli in Hunsur Taluk of the District staged a protest against the laying of the new Mysuru-Kushalanagara  Railway Track.

The villagers alleged that the Railway Officers surveyed the village and markings being done for the track. The villagers are alleging that earlier railway officials identified different places to construct Railway Track which had a residential layout. But followed by instruction of MP Pratap Simha to facilitate layout owners the Railway Officers identified the village to lay track, they alleged.

The villagers complained that if the authorities lay track here many people would come to the streets by losing lands and houses. The villagers raised slogans against the BJP Government and Pratap Simha. They alleged that MP Pratap Sinha, bowing to pressure from businessmen, changed the Mysuru – Kushalanagara Railway line twice. The villagers said that If the  Government takes away even our little land we have no other option but to resort to suicide.
