Mysuru: Dr. Anusha Raj, a distinguished pediatric neurologist from Mysore, has claimed the Miss MediQueen 2025 title at a prestigious event held in Pune, Maharashtra, on June 22. The event marked the 6th season of MediQueen India International Miss & Mrs 2025, a pioneering pageant that honours women from the medical field, under the theme ‘Celebrating Women’s Health’.

Founder of the Mysore Child Neurology and Rehabilitation Centre (MCNRC), Dr. Anusha is widely respected for her contributions to child neurology. She is the daughter of Dr. K.H. Basavaraj (Dermatologist) and Dr. Bharathi M.B., Head of ENT Surgery at JSS Hospital.

During the three-day pageant held at Tip Top International Hotel, Dr. Anusha won the ‘Face of Mediceen’ title in the pre-final round and also bagged the London Book of World Records Healthcare Awards 2025 for Best Pediatric Neurologist.

The grand finale featured Navari Saree and Evening Gown rounds. In the decisive Q&A, she was asked, “What does women empowerment mean to you?” Her winning response was:
“Women empowerment in this era means the power to make decisions without fear, without limitations. A generation of empowered women can lift many future generations.”

Her answer earned her the crown.

The event was graced by Vijaya Rahatkar, Chairperson, National Commission for Women; Ajit Pawar, Deputy CM of Maharashtra; and actor Rakesh Bapat, who gave a special performance.
