Neha’s Murder is Not a Love Jihad; Murders Have Happened All the Times: CM

Bengaluru, Tuesday - In a shocking development, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and several cabinet ministers received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday. The City Crime Branch of the Bengaluru Police has promptly registered a case to investigate the matter. The threatening email, received by the Karnataka government at 2:48 pm on Saturday, specifically mentioned a potential explosion in Bengaluru targeting high-profile officials. The email identified Siddaramaiah, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, the Home Minister, and the Bengaluru Police Commissioner as potential targets. The sender, using the email address Shahidkhan10786@protonmail.com, demanded a hefty sum of 2.5 million dollars to avert the planned explosion. The ominous email further outlined the potential targets, indicating that the explosion could occur in crowded areas such as restaurants, temples, buses, or trains. The sender emphasized their demand for the specified amount, warning of large-scale explosions if their financial request was not met. The threatening email contained chilling details, mentioning the intention to showcase another "trailer" by causing an explosion in the Ambari Utsav bus. Following this incident, the perpetrators threatened to escalate their demands on social media and vowed to upload screenshots of the communication. The ominous message concluded with a sinister warning of tweeting information about the next planned explosion. The City Crime Branch is actively investigating the matter, and security measures have been heightened to ensure the safety of the targeted officials and the public at large.

Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the opposition is using Neha Hiremath’s case for politics.

He was speaking to the media at his residence in Mysuru today. “I strongly condemn Neha’s murder,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the killer has been arrested. “This is not a Love Jihad case. The government is taking the investigation seriously. Efforts will be made to give the killer a severe punishment,” he said.

It is unfortunate to use someone’s death for politics.

Speaking about the opposition’s allegation that the law-and-order situation crumbled in the state, he said that murders have taken place at all times. This does not mean that law and order are not being taken seriously.

“There is no peace and order in any other state like there is in Karnataka. We will strongly condemn and take action against the guilty for any crime that takes place. It is unfortunate and condemnable to use someone’s death for politics,” he said.

Speaking about the protests erupting across the state, he said that this will not have any effect on the government.

The election atmosphere in the state is good, and there is no Modi wave in the country or in Karnataka. BJP candidates are seeking votes in the name of Modi. They are dependent on Modi, and the people are against the Modi government. There is a pro-INDIA alliance atmosphere in the country,” he said.
