Mysuru: While the state government is gearing up for Dasara celebration, Wadiyar scion Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has said that as per the royal almanac, the Dasara festival would be celebrated at the Mysore Palace for ten days and that there is no connection between the government planned Dasara and the Royal Dasara.
Addressing a gathering at Mysuru Yuvaraja College, Yaduveer was responding to a query on whether the Royal family too will be celebrating Dasara for 11 days as planned by the government.
He said that auspicious time for celebrating Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami will be decided upon by the Royal priests after consulting with Royal Mother Pramodha Devi.
