Mysuru: With Congress losing its face in the five-state elections, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has opined that it will have no impact on state politics whatsoever.

Calling Kerala results as a tradition, the CM said that Kerala has had a pattern of having the UDF and the LDF in power in turns. However, he agreed that Assam has been a major setback, where the Congress was shown the doors by the electorates after 15 longs years.

Adding that Tamil Nadu and West Bengal were never strongholds of the Congress, the CM said that in Karnataka, there are no doubts over Congress retaining power.

Speaking about Cabinet rejig, he said that he would be holding a meet with the party High Command on May 29 in Delhi and decide on the same accordingly.

Taking question on complaint being filed with the ACB against him and 28 of his cabinet colleagues in connection to IPS officers transfer rather lightly, the CM also brushed aside questions on Hublot watch issue, billing it off as a ‘closed chapter’.
