Mysuru: Professor K S Bhagavan, who is known for his derogatory remarks on Bhagavad Gita and on Prime Minister Narendra Modi –led NDA government has interestingly accepted the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019.
Addressing the media, here on Tuesday, August 6, he said that he was against Article 370 giving ‘special status’ for Jammu and Kashmir.
He said, “I whole-heartedly welcome the bill, which is going to scrap Article 370. This is a full stop to the 72-year-old conflict. I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this move.”
Praising PM Modi, Bhagavan said, “By bringing in the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019 and putting in sincere effort to unite India under the Indian Constitution, he has carved his name in the history. I’m proud of him.”
