Mysuru: Following the suspension of C Basavaraju, Registrar of University of Mysore, the government has given additional responsibility to Rajanna, Registrar, Evaluation, UoM on Thursday. Rajanna will be Registrar of Evaluation as well as Registrar of Administration of University of Mysore.
It can be brought to light that State government issued order of suspension of Yuvaraja College Principal H N Nanjegowda for neglecting its orders on the alleged appointment of temporary assistant professors.The suspension of Nanjegowda, came a day after the Registrar (Administration), University of Mysore, C Basavaraju was suspended on the charges of dereliction of duty.
Though there were irregularities in appointment, the college authorities went ahead with the appointment of temporary assistant professors. The government had issued two orders not to go-ahead with the temporary appointments but still the college authorities went ahead with the appointment resulting in suspension of Yuvaraja College Principal Nanjegowda and also C Basavaraju, Registrar, UOM. The government had also asked the UoM to submit a detailed report on the process to ensure whether all the rules were fulfilled in the temporary recruitment.
