Periyapatna: A preschooler died at his residence while playing, after getting accidentally strangled by a ribbon tied to kitchen door here.
Purvaj (6), son of P D Prasanna, residing in Doddaparivara Road in the town is the deceased preschooler.
Family members including his mother present at home failed to notice the incident which was later brought to their attention by the boy’s elder sister. Immediately, they rushed him to the nearby hospital, where Dr. Sadashiva declared him brought dead.
His body was handed over to the parents after autopsy.
His teachers from Pushpa Convent and local leaders visited the family members to console them.
