Mysuru: The bus stop area here witnessed high drama as the students of different colleges protested and blocked vehicles causing a traffic jam for nearly 45 minutes on Wednesday.
Students were agitating over the delay in running buses moving towards City from Bogadi. The bus service is not proper as most of the buses do not arrive at the scheduled time, students complained.
“The number of students at the city bus stand is increasing day by day but KSRTC does not bother streamlining the bus service”, one of the protesters said.
They have also demanded to introduce additional buses to accommodate growing number of passengers.
The students said that due to unscheduled delay in running buses they are not able to reach college on time and hence they are missing classes. The Sarswathipuram Police station staff rushed to the spot and calmed the situation down and KSRTC officials convinced the agitating students, promiseing to solve the problem at the earliest. The traffic was cleared after some time.
