Thief arrested with valuables worth Rs: 2 Lakh

Mysuru: The City Crime Branch and Nazarbad Station police have arrested a thief near Moulana Azad School on Dr Rajkumar Road in the city during the operation conducted recently.

The accused was identified as Saiyad Amin Husign, 24, a resident of Chamundeshwari Nagar, Bannuru Road, Mandya Town. The police have seized a bike and 60 gram gold ornaments worth Rs 2,02,000.

The police enquiry revealed that the accused was connected with three cases registered in Nazarbad police station. According to accused, the bike was lifted from Tumkur. The owner of the bike is yet to be identified,  the commissioner’s  office stated in a press release.

The operation was conducted by City Crime Branch DCP MM Mahadevaiah, ACP Girijesh of Devaraja Police Station. Nazarbad Station Police Inspector R Jagadish Sub-Inspector V Basavaraju and the personnel’s including MM Babu, K S Guruswamy, H V Madhukesh, B V Prakash, V Srinivas, Jayakumar and Santhosh.
