When compared to last year, the campus recruitment not only at SJCE, but across the country has come down marginally. In the last four months, 741 students have got offer letters from nearly 55 companies. It is marginally less when compared to last year. Among those recruited, the highest package is Rs 14.5 lakh per annum. The average package is Rs 7 lakh per annum. Another 48 companies are expected to visit SJCE in next few days. During the last campus recruitment, 118 companies visited SJCE and gave 1016 offers.

GM Shashidara, Principal (In-Charge) of SJCE said “In America there is president election, so there may be change in the policy due to which there may be change in economy or focus. Keeping this in mind, many American firms may be waiting for election to get over so that based on the new president’s policy and focus, they can plan their recruitment. Most of the IT firms are America based; hence this year there is marginal slump in campus recruitment”.
