Mysuru: Poorvaj, son of former minister H Vishwanath has confirmed in his Facebook post regarding the latter joining Janata Dal (Secular) on July 4 and sought support from all quarters.
Poorvaj has said that Vishwanath, who has already resigned from the Congress will seek primary membership of JDS on July 4. He urged all the supporters to gather in large numbers when Vishwanath visits JDS office at J P Bhavan on July 4 for the same.
Vishwanath severed four-decade old liaison with Congress, when he resigned from the party on June 23. He had hinted at joining JDS but had never confirmed his moves. Even on June 27, he had only said that he would reveal his future plans on July 2. Vishwanath sees hope in JDS to continue his services to farmers, poor and minorities with whom he cherished good relationship in a political career lasting over four decades.
