Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the Government Nature cure and Yoga University and Government Ayurveda Hi-tech Panchakarma Hospital at Brindavan layout here on Friday.
Speaking after inaugurating the Nature cure and Yoga University, Siddaramaiah said that the inauguration of the hospital has been given as a Dasara gift to the people of Mysuru. Naturopathy is a traditional way of medication. Citing his own example as to how he used Ayurveda to control diabetes, he said that Ayurveda has to be given equal importance as Allopathy.
The hi-tech ‘panchakarma’ hospital built under the administration of Ayush department, Mysuru and Public Welfare Department at a cost of Rs 9.12 crores, is a two storey building comprising 100 beds. There is separate treatment facilities for men and women. The hospital offers medications to bone, nerve and skin related problems.
Devaraja market to be demolished
He also mentioned that based on recommendation of the committee, Devaraja Market will be demolished and reconstructed.
