Dharwad: Due to continuous heavy rainfall, the wall of a primary school in Shivnagar, Alnavar taluk, collapsed. The Department of School Education promptly decided to relocate school activities to a private building of Dundhu Gouli in Shivnagar on July 25th.
Consequently, on July 26th, the Shivnagar school granted a holiday for the students, as informed by Mr. R.R. Sadalgi, the Rural Education Officer of Dharwad. He previously decided to conduct school classes in the rented building from July 27th.
On July 23rd, the district officials, including the revenue secretary, visited the Shivnagar school and inspected the circumstances. As per their guidance, temporary relocation of the school has been initiated until the construction of a new building.
As per the report, the School Education Department has submitted a report to the Deputy Director, highlighting the necessary measures taken for the safety of the students.
