UdupiAdani Power Limited – Udupi Thermal Power Plant (TPP), based in Yelluru village, organized a large-scale blood donation drive titled ‘Go-Red’ on June 24 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The event marked the birthday of Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of the Adani Group.

The camp was inaugurated through the traditional lighting of the lamp by Dr Veena Kumari, head of the Udupi District Hospital Blood Bank, Kishore Alva, president and executive director of Adani Group, and other senior officials from various departments.

In his address, Kishore Alva shared, “Every year on June 24, Adani Group units across India host blood donation camps. This mission has helped collect thousands of units and support local blood banks—contributing significantly to saving lives.”

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Udupi TPP employees, their families, as well as contractual and outsourced staff, reflecting a strong sense of community involvement.

Dr Veena Kumari praised the initiative, stating that Adani’s consistent efforts over the past 10 years have proven invaluable in bolstering the Udupi and Mangaluru blood banks. She commended the voluntary spirit and dedication of the donors.

By the end of the day-long camp, an impressive 324 units of blood were collected. The Adani Foundation extended sincere appreciation to all donors for their contribution.

This initiative once again showcases Adani Power’s commitment to healthcare, community welfare, and impactful CSR.
