UDUPI: An FIR has been registered against unknown individuals for creating a fraudulent Facebook account impersonating Vinay Kumar Sorake, president of the KPCC Campaign Committee.
Saurabh Ballal, NSUI president of Udupi district, filed the complaint at the Udupi CEN Police Station. He reported that the fake profile was used to engage in deceptive conversations with various individuals, potentially misleading them.
Ballal urged the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and take action against those responsible. The complaint also served to raise public awareness about the fake account and its activities.
Authorities are working to trace the culprits behind the impersonation.
