Garuda Gang Member Sparks Chaos in Manipal Police Chase
Udupi: A notorious criminal and Garuda Gang affiliate, Isaac, triggered multiple accidents in Manipal while desperately trying to elude police capture. The Nelamangala police from Bengaluru, who were tracking him for his alleged involvement in a robbery case, launched an operation to apprehend him.
As authorities closed in on DC Office Road, Isaac attempted a high-speed escape, colliding with four vehicles and a two-wheeler in the process. The police immediately called for backup, prompting Manipal police inspector Devaraj and his team to join the chase.
The dramatic pursuit came to an end near Mannapalla, where Isaac’s vehicle suffered technical failure, forcing him to abandon it. A young woman, reportedly his companion, was found in the car. While she has been taken into custody for questioning, Isaac managed to flee, and an official confirmation of his arrest is still pending.
CCTV footage captured the reckless chase, showing several public and police vehicles sustaining damage. Two Bengaluru police vehicles were also impacted during the operation.
Providing updates, Udupi Superintendent of Police Dr. Arun K stated, “Isaac, accompanied by his girlfriend, drove dangerously, ramming multiple vehicles. He later escaped on foot, leaving behind his car. A case has been registered, and special teams are working to track him down.”
The search for Isaac continues, as both Manipal and Nelamangala police intensify investigations.
