Udupi: The BJP Disciplinary Committee has issued a notice to Raghupathi Bhat. Lingaraj Patil, the President of the State BJP Disciplinary Committee, issued the notice to the former Udupi MLA, who is also contesting as a BJP rebel candidate from the South West Graduates Constituency in the biennial election for the Legislative Council.

In the notice, Patil asked Bhat to respond within two days before the committee, as his candidacy violates the party’s discipline. The Udupi unit of the BJP has requested the committee to take strict action against the former BJP MLA for violating discipline by contesting the election against the party’s official candidate.
