Rajaram Tallur’s ‘Karidabbi’ Wins Karnataka Sahitya Akademi Award

Renowned writer and columnist Rajaram Tallur has been honored with the Karnataka Sahitya Akademi’s 2022 Book Award for best thoughtful writing for his book Karidabbi. The prestigious award was presented on March 25 at Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bengaluru, by Shivaraj Tangadagi, the state’s minister for Kannada and Culture.

Celebration of Literary Excellence

The ceremony was graced by senior writer Dr. Hampanagarajayya, Karnataka Sahitya Akademi president L.N. Mukundaraj, Kannada and Culture department secretary Dr. N. Manjula, and department director K.M. Gayatri, among other distinguished guests.

In addition to Tallur’s recognition, the event also marked the presentation of the Sahitya Akademi’s Honorary Award and Sahitya Shri Awards for 2023, celebrating literary contributions across the state.
