Two Kerala Natives Arrested After Drunk Driving Incident In Udupi

Two men from Kerala, Dheeraj (28) and Gautam (30), were arrested after a series of collisions while driving intoxicated. The duo, who had recently returned from the Gulf, visited Malpe beach and were en route back to Kerala when they crashed their Innova into a Maruti Alto near Pangala. Instead of stopping, they fled, prompting Padubidri police to alert the Hejmady toll gate personnel.

When police and toll personnel intercepted the vehicle, the suspects tried to escape by reversing toward Padubidri but crashed into an advertisement pole near the Sri Mahalingeshwara Mahaganapati temple. Padubidri police quickly apprehended them, and the vehicle sustained severe damage.
