Udupi:  A vibrant Jackfruit–Mango–Agriculture–Skill Fair will be held from July 4 to 6 at the Raitha Seva Kendra premises of the Horticulture Department in Doddanagudde, Udupi. The event is organized by the Traditional Product Promotion Committee, Udupi, and aims to promote local produce, crafts, and farming innovations.

Addressing a press meet, convener Ratnakar Indrali announced that the fair will feature a grand exhibition and sale of rare varieties like red jackfruit, moon jackfruit, Udupi jackfruit, and a diverse selection of mangoes.

Visitors can sample and purchase unique jackfruit-based treats such as Holige, Jalebi, Kadubu, Mulka, Kesari Bath, Payasam, chips, jam, pickles, ice creams, and milkshakes. Mango-based items, traditional Uppad Pachhir, dried fruits, Patrode, midi pickles, and Kalparasa will also be available.

In addition, stalls will showcase handloom and Khadi textiles, Kolkata sarees, nursery plants, tubers, seeds, Ayurvedic goods, cow-based products, and agricultural items. The event promises a sensory journey of flavor, culture, and innovation, open to all from 9 AM to 8 PM daily.

MP Kota Srinivas Poojary will inaugurate the fair at 3 PM on July 4, with other dignitaries such as MLA Yash Pal Suvarna and Municipal Council President Prabhakar Poojary in attendance.

Organizing team members Mahavir Jain, Diwakar Shetty, Ashok Shettigar, and Nityanand Nayak were also present.
