Muddebihal police in Vijayapura have registered a case under the Pocso Act following an incident involving a minor girl at Morarji School’s hostel. On November 24, a youth allegedly placed a mangalasutra around the girl’s neck, who was preparing for her SSLC exams.
The youths, identified as Mounesh Hanamant Madar and Sangamesh Budappa Junjuwar, recorded the incident and shared the video with others. The girl filed a complaint on November 28 after discovering the video had been circulated.
The police are investigating the case, although it remains unclear in the video who placed the mangalasutra on the girl.
