Aarka Sports Management officials are the target of a criminal case that cricket player Mahendra Singh Dhoni filed in Ranchi due to a sour 2017 cricket academy deal.
Soumya Vishwash and Mihir Diwakar are the targets of the lawsuit. Diwakar and Dhoni allegedly signed a contract in 2017 for Diwakar to run a cricket academy around the world, but Diwakar allegedly broke the terms of the agreement.
According to the conditions of the agreement, which were allegedly broken, Aarka Sports was required to pay a franchise fee and share profits.
Despite repeated reminders, the terms and conditions specified in the agreement were allegedly disregarded, prompting Dhoni to revoke the authority letter granted to the firm on August 15th, 2021. Dhoni also sent several legal notices, but to no avail.
Dayanand Singh, representing Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, said they were deceived and cheated by Aarka Sports, resulting in a loss exceeding Rs 15 crore.
