Bantwal – In the ongoing investigation into the murder of Abdul Rehman from Kolattamajalu and the assault on Kalandar Shafi, the Bantwal rural police have arrested another suspect.
The case, registered as Crime No. 54/2025 on May 27, is being pursued under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, including 191(1), 191(2), 191(3), 118(1), 118(2), 109, and 103 read with 190. So far, nine individuals had been arrested in connection with the crime.
On Saturday, July 12, police took Pradeep (34), a resident of Pudu village, into custody. He is currently under interrogation.
Authorities have confirmed that the probe is ongoing, and further legal steps will follow as per standard procedures.
