Mangaluru: Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) marked a landmark moment as it celebrated 10 years of NABH Accreditation, along with the closing ceremony of World Quality Week 2025 held under the theme “Think Differently.” The institution has also achieved the prestigious NABH Digital Health Standards Gold Certification—placing it among India’s frontrunners in digitally enabled, patient-centric healthcare.

FMMCH received the honour on August 29, 2025, acknowledging its advanced digital ecosystem, including Electronic Medical Records, integrated Radiology and Laboratory systems, Biomedical Equipment Management, Transport Bay automation, and one of Karnataka’s largest Pneumatic Chute Systems. Recent additions such as Voice-to-Text documentation, a unified Digital Quality Management System, BMW Barcode Tracking, and automated workflows further strengthen operational efficiency.

A decade of structured quality and patient safety

FMMCH’s NABH journey began in 2015 and has since transitioned through four continuous cycles of accreditation, reflecting a culture of quality excellence.
Accreditation cycles:
• 1st Cycle: 2015–2018
• 2nd Cycle: 2018–2021
• 3rd Cycle: 2021–2025
• 4th Cycle: 2025–2029

At the ceremony, Administrator Rev. Fr George Jeevan Sequeira highlighted the institution’s 145-year foundation laid by Rev. Fr Augustus Muller, S.J., whose mission of compassion and service continues to guide FMMCH’s quality journey. An audio-visual presentation titled “Journey of FMMCH in Quality” showcased the institution’s milestones.
