Kadaba: Case registered against Facebook user
A case has been registered at Kadaba Police Station against a Facebook user for allegedly sharing provocative content on the social media platform.
The complaint was filed by K Abdul Hakeem, 35, of Kadaba taluk, who stated that on 30 August, he came across a post on his Facebook account by a user with the profile name “Ibrahim Mitthodi ExMuslim.”
Alleged provocative content
The complainant alleged that the post contained remarks capable of hurting religious sentiments and inciting communal hatred. Following the complaint, the Kadaba police initiated legal proceedings against the user.
A case has been registered under Sections 353(2) and 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police are currently investigating the matter to ascertain the nature of the content and identify the accused.
