Mangaluru– In a significant blow to the city’s drug network, the Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested five individuals in Padushedde for allegedly possessing and attempting to sell ganja. The arrests followed a tip-off received on July 2, prompting a swift and strategic police raid at Haladi village.

The accused were reportedly dividing the contraband into ₹1,000 packets aimed at students and youth across Mangaluru city.

A case has been filed under Crime No. 31/2025 at Mangaluru CCS, invoking Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the origin and broader network behind the drug supply.
This successful operation was led by the Mangaluru City Police, under the supervision of senior officials and CCS personnel, reinforcing their zero-tolerance policy against narcotics.
