Mangaluru: MCC Bank Ltd., one of Karnataka’s leading cooperative banks, has crossed a significant business turnover milestone of ₹1,535 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, registering a growth of 22.89 per cent.

The bank also announced the opening of its 22nd branch at Deralakatte, Mangaluru, on June 28, 2026, and its 23rd branch at Katapadi, Udupi, on August 2, 2026, as part of its continued expansion plans across Karnataka.

Strong Growth Across Key Financial Parameters
MCC Bank, which has completed 114 years of service, reported substantial growth across major financial indicators.
The bank’s net worth increased from ₹83.76 crore to ₹91.80 crore, supported by continued confidence from its NRI clientele.

Operating entirely on core banking technology, MCC Bank currently offers a comprehensive range of banking products and services comparable to those offered by private and public sector banks.
Remarkable Growth Under Current Leadership
Addressing a press conference at the bank’s head office in Hampankatta, Chairman Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo highlighted the institution’s transformation since the present board assumed office in 2018.
During the period, deposits grew from ₹304 crore to ₹876 crore, reflecting a growth of 188 per cent, while loans and advances increased from ₹191 crore to ₹657 crore, registering a growth of 243 per cent.
The bank’s share capital rose from ₹13 crore to ₹34 crore, while reserves expanded from ₹29 crore to ₹85 crore.
Business turnover increased from ₹496 crore to ₹1,535 crore, representing an impressive growth of 209 per cent.
The Capital to Risk Weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR) improved from 11.70 per cent to 16.55 per cent, while Return on Assets (ROA) increased from 0.56 per cent to 1.40 per cent.
Branch Expansion Continues
The bank has successfully complied with all Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulatory requirements and resumed branch expansion after a gap of 22 years.
In recent years, MCC Bank has opened branches at Brahmavar, Belthangady, Belman, Byndoor and Santhekatte.
The upcoming Deralakatte branch inauguration will be presided over by Chairman Anil Lobo. The premises will be blessed by Rev. Fr. Victor D’Mello, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Panir.
Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister U.T. Khader will inaugurate the branch, while Sr. Milly Fernandes, Superior General of the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation, will attend as the chief guest.
Guests of honour include Rev. Fr. Nilesh Crasta, Administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic College, Deralakatte; Divya Sathish Shetty, President of Kotekar Town Panchayat; and C.M. Sattar, former President of Belma Grama Panchayat.
Along with the branch inauguration, MCC Bank will also inaugurate its 16th ATM.
Relocation of Existing Branches
The bank has also announced the relocation of several branches during the coming months.
The Morgansgate Branch will shift to a new location on July 25, the Moodbidri Branch on August 22, and the Karkala Branch will move to its own premises on August 26, 2026.

MCC Bank offers various financial services, including education loans for domestic and overseas studies, MSME loans, housing loans, vehicle loans, wedding loans, house repair loans and household purchase loans.

The bank also provides low-cost locker facilities, gold loans without processing fees, and free ATM and mobile banking services. Deposits are insured under DICGC guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India.
