Bantwal: A private bus collided with a school bus carrying students near Mallikatte in Punacha on Wednesday, August 20, sparking panic but avoiding a major tragedy.
Reports indicate that the school bus was ferrying students from Punacha towards Puttur when the private bus, approaching from behind, crashed into it at the Mallikatte curve.
The front portion of the private bus was severely damaged in the impact, and several passengers on board sustained minor injuries.
Fortunately, no children were seated in the rear section of the school bus where the collision occurred, allowing all students to escape unharmed.
