Surathkal: A 15-year-old boy died after collapsing while playing volleyball at Soorinje near Surathkal in Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday. The incident has left family members, friends and the local community in shock.
The deceased has been identified as Likhith Ameen (15), son of Madhav Ameen. He was a Class 10 student at the Government High School, Kote Bollaru, Soorinje.
Collapsed while playing with friends
According to reports, Likhith was playing volleyball with his friends at the Soorinje playground when he suddenly collapsed on the court.
Those present at the ground immediately rushed to his aid after noticing that he had fallen unconscious. He was quickly shifted to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
