In a disturbing incident in the Beed district of Maharashtra, two teachers have come under scrutiny after a video surfaced on social media depicting them engaging in explicit activities on the school premises. The video, widely circulated on social media platforms by November 15, prompted strong criticism from both parents and the school management.

The school administration took swift action by filing a complaint with the police, alleging that the male and female teachers recorded the explicit act in various areas of the campus, including the examination department. A peon at the school brought the incidents to light, leading to an official police complaint filed by the school principal on December 9.

The main accused, identified as the male teacher, is currently evading authorities, with a search operation underway in Pune to apprehend him. The police have initiated an FIR against the male teacher under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including those related to obscene material, obscenity, defamation, and the Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000.

Responding to the situation, the school management has taken disciplinary measures by suspending four teachers, including the male and female individuals featured in the video, along with two additional female teachers who were deemed to have an overly friendly relationship with the accused. Two other female teachers have chosen to retire in light of the incident. The school’s trustees are collaborating with the police to identify individuals responsible for damaging the institution’s reputation, asserting that some people may have circulated the videos out of personal animosity.

The Maharashtra State Commission for Women has also taken notice of the incident, with advocate Sangita Chavan visiting the school under police protection. The gravity of the situation is underscored by the impact on the school’s reputation and the potential legal consequences for the accused teacher.
