Mysuru: An Agniveer soldier died after sustaining serious injuries in a bike accident in Mysuru on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Nandan, 24, son of Nanjegowda and Roopa of Hirikyathanahalli village.
Soldier was home on leave
Nandan was serving in Ladakh and had returned to his native village on leave around 15 days ago.
On Monday, he was travelling by motorcycle towards Chamundi Hill in Mysuru when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and fell.
He sustained serious injuries in the accident and was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Mysuru for treatment.
Succumbs to injuries
Despite receiving treatment, Nandan succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
His death has left his family and the local community mourning the loss of the young soldier, who had returned home on leave before the tragic accident.
