Mysuru: A tragic incident was reported from Doddakavalande village in Nanjangud taluk, where an unidentified man lost his life after allegedly placing his head on a railway track.
Authorities believe the man may have taken his own life during the night, when the area near the local railway station was deserted. The impact from a passing train is suspected to have caused his fatal injuries.
Personnel from the Nanjangud Railway Police Station, including PSI Ramesh, ASI Prasad, Mahadevaswamy, and Kumar, rushed to the scene and conducted an initial investigation.
As of now, the identity of the deceased remains unknown. Efforts are underway to trace any information that could help establish who he was.
A case has been formally registered at the Nanjangud Railway Police Station, and further inquiries are ongoing.
