Udupi :To condemn the attempts made to defame Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr.Veerendra Heggade, a public meeting was convened at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Memorial Hall here on saturday.He is alleged for protecting the accused in the rape and murder case of Sowjanya.
Addressing the gathering Pejawar Mutt Seer said that he is pained by the baseless allegations made on Heggade.He also urged for the unbiased investigation into the murder of Soujanya.
MLA Pramod Madhwaraj ,Jami Masjid Udupi President T S Budan Basha,Milagres College Kallianpur Principal Dr.Neri Cornelio,Former Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary and others expressed thier displeasure on the occasion.
Prior to that a huge protest rally was taken out from Jodukatte.
