In India, many people are needy and not able to get the Minimum requirements to live a normal life. Keeping this in mind the Government of India launched various social welfare schemes to help the needy people. These schemes provide financial assistance and other necessities to people who are not able to live a normal life due to financial problems and other reasons. These schemes are very helpful to the poor and financially backward people in India. A social welfare scheme provides financial aid to all individuals or families who need something. The financial aid in any social welfare scheme is given in lump sum or parts.

This financial aid is provided to needy people so that they can live a good life. These schemes raise the standard of living among financially unstable people. Mahalakshmi Scheme

The Government of Telangana state launched the Mahalakshmi scheme. Under the Mahalaxmi scheme, the women head of the family in Telangana state will be given financial assistance of INR 2000 per month. This financial assistance will be transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account. To be eligible for the Mahalakshmi scheme the applicant must be a permanent citizen of Telangana state. The applicant must be recognised as the woman head of the family in their ration card. Only one woman in the family is eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme. To apply for the Mahalaxmi scheme the applicant can go to the official website and fill out the application form.

 

YSR Aarogyasri Scheme

The YSR Aarogyasri scheme was launched in the Andhra Pradesh state. Under this scheme, the Andhra Pradesh State government will cover medical expenses up to INR 25 lakhs. To apply for the scheme the applicant must have at least 35 acres of land in Andhra Pradesh. Families that pay municipal property taxes for less than 3000 SFT (334 sq. yds.) are eligible for the scheme. If any applicant has more than one car he is not available for the YSR Aarogyasri scheme. Families who pay up to INR 5 lakh in income tax can avail of the benefits of this scheme. Anyone who clears the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form on the official website

 

E Shram Card Scheme

The E shram card scheme is a nationwide scheme launched to benefit workers and labourers in India. To avail the benefits of schemes run under the E shram card scheme the applicant must have an E shram card. There are a bunch of different schemes under the E Shram card scheme that provide financial assistance, pensions, and other necessities. To apply for the Eshram card the applicant must be a Vegetable And Fruit Seller, Newspaper Seller, Rickshaw Driver, CSC Center Driver, MNREGA worker, ASHA worker Etc. The applicant must be between the ages of 16 to 59 years. The applicant having Employee Provident Fund Organization and Employees State Insurance Corporation are not eligible to apply for the Eshram card.

 

Housing Scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme Will provide pucca houses to all the people who do not own one. Under this scheme, all the applicants who clear the eligibility criteria will be provided affordable housing. All the students who belong to the EWS/LIG and MIG categories, including slum residents are eligible to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme. The applicant must be above the age of 18 years to apply for the scheme. Anyone who already has a house cannot apply for the PMAY Scheme. The applicant whose annual income is above 18 lakh per year is not eligible to apply for the scheme. Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme

The Sukanya Samriddhi scheme is a nationwide scheme launched by the Ministry of Finance. This scheme was launched under section 3A of the Government Saving Promotion Act 1873. Under this scheme, the parents of a girl child who is below the age of 10 can open up a  Sukanya Samriddhi bank account. The parents have to submit INR 250 per month in the bank account until the completion of a period of 15 years. With the help of a high rate of interest, the parents will able to get a large amount after they complete the specific period. Only two girls from a family can benefit from the Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme. To apply for the Sukanya Samriddhi scheme all you need to do is to go to the nearest bank branch of your choice.

 

PMKVY Scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana was launched to provide job training and skills to the youth of India. The PMKVY scheme is a nationwide scheme launched to develop industrial skills among the youth of India. The main objective of launching the Pradhan Mantri Kushal Vikas Yojana was to increase employment in the nation. This scheme creates employment opportunities for the unemployed youth. All permanent citizens of India are eligible to apply for the PMKVY scheme. To apply for the PKMVY scheme the applicant can fill out the application form on the official website. The government provides job training to the applicants free of cost so that they can get a job easily.

 

Ayushman Bharat Scheme

The Aayushman Bharat scheme is a nationwide scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this Government Scheme, the applicant will you provided medical assurance of INR 5 lakhs per family. This scheme covers up to 3 days of pre-hospitalization and 15 days of post-hospitalization expenses which include medicines. The scheme is divided into two categories: urban beneficiaries and rural beneficiaries. To be eligible for urban beneficiaries the applicant must not be in a pucca house and the applicant must belong to the SC or ST category. PMMVY Scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana is a nationwide scheme launched by the Prime Minister of India. Under this scheme, each pregnant woman will receive INR 6000 from the central government. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account. This Scheme is launched to ensure that both the mother and the newborn will able to get enough nutrition. All qualified expectant mothers and nursing mothers who become pregnant on or after January 1, 2017, for the family’s first child. Ujjwala Scheme

The Ujjwal scheme was a nationwide scheme launched by the Ministry of Natural Gas and Petroleum. Under this scheme, the applicant will get a free LPG correction from the government. All the applicants who belong to the below-poverty line category are eligible to apply for the Ujjwal scheme. The Ujjwala scheme will provide financial assistance of INR 1600 for LPG connection. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account. Only women who are above the age of 18 years are eligible to apply for the scheme. If the applicant is under any other government scheme she will not be able to avail the benefits of this scheme. National Pension Scheme

The national pension scheme was launched by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority of India. The national pension scheme is divided into two 2 tiers. In tire one the minimum amount to contribute is INR 1000 per year. In tire to the minimum amount to be contributed is INR 250. To apply for the national pension scheme and ration card list the applicant must be above the age of 18 years. Only permanent citizens of India are eligible to apply for the national pension scheme. To open a tier 2 account, you must have a tier 1 account and must be residing in India. To apply for the national pension scheme the applicant can fill out the application form on the official website.
